We want your print
order to proceed with as few problems as possible. This page lists the
important points to check before sending your file to us. 1. All images should be
supplied at 300dpi. This should be set from your scanning software. 2. Images should be saved
in the following formats. Tiff, Photoshop eps, high quality jpeg. Please do
not use gifs and other formats, as these will not print satisfactorily. 3. We can not print your
job without the fonts you have used in your document. Either outline all
fonts used or convert to curves or send the fonts on the disk. 4. Your job will be
printed on a four colour press using cmyk inks. Please ensure you have not
used Pantone or Indexed colour in your document. 5. In Microsoft Word
documents, please note that the colours available to you in this programme
will change to a slightly different shade when printed. This is because
Microsoft Word is not intended for use as a graphic design package. When
sending word documents with pictures embedded, we also require picture files
sent separately from the file. We would recommend the use of Microsoft
Publisher if possible. 6. Using Publisher,
please link pictures rather than embed them. (You are given this choice when
you insert pictures) When sending Publisher files, use the pack and go
feature. This collects all the images and the documents together in one file
for sending to us. 7. Finally, please read
your document carefully and check spellings 8. Ensure your disk is
carefully labelled. Disks will normally be returned with your job. 9. Disks are easily
damaged, please ensure your disk is carefully packed and your colour print
out and instructions are enclosed. To assist us, please write down the
programme and version the artwork was created in. If you have any questions about
supplying your artwork PLEASE CONTACT US, we are here to
help. A quick call to us can save delays later. |
